About the Artist
Born in Santa Barbara Ca in 1977. Attended the University of California Santa Barbara as well as Hirudaya Holistic School in San Luis Obispo, Ca. After owning a business for holistic care in Santa Maria Ca. and working as an Environmental Monitor, took on painting as her primary focus since 2010. Rebecca has taken workshops and classes from well known artists. She continues to gain technical skill while exploring her place in the art world. "It is an immense amount of work and passion. I adore the process, the fight and insight learned with every piece."
My undergraduate work and career in the environmental field has inspired me to protect our lands and waters from the negative influences of human activity. My current body of work is driven by my desire to continue to have a positive impact on the environment. I use my paintings to help bring awareness to the importance of preserving and protecting our surroundings. A portion of the proceeds from each painting sold is donated to an environmental mission driven organization.
